About the Guard
HE
Guard are the backbone of the guild, making up the majority
of its members. A well-trained army renowned for their service to
the Crown, they provide reassurance to all Britannians that law
and order will be upheld and peace maintained.
Being a Guard
HAT
I'd like to see is LB become more fanatical in both its
loyalty to Britannia (i.e., hate Vesper more) and very extreme
in their beliefs in the virtues. I don't mean being loving and
compassionate in the traditional sense, I mean thinking it's
compassionate to execute people because they don't follow the
virtues, as there lives are meaningless without it.

EING
Guard has two central aspects: being a part of a united
Loyalist force, dedicated to the service of the Baron and Britannia,
and being an individual who will be memorable as a specific person
to those you interact with.
S
a Guard you will swear an Oath to protect and serve, and this
is something all Guards are expected to hold as their fundamental
values. Guards uphold the Virtues as they believe them to be - your
Guard's personal understanding of the Virtues may well determine his
actions.
S
an individual, try to create a character who is fun to play and
interesting to interact with. The simplest way to create interest is
often to create a character who has a striking weakness that drives
him: an alcoholic, someone with a short temper, a gambler… anything
that would create conflict with your duties may be a good starting
point. Play your Guard as something more than a stoic law enforcer and
you will find a lot of interesting opportunities arise.

Applying to Join
EFORE
you make the decision that the Guard is for you, we would
recommend that you take the time to talk to some members in-game and
perhaps over ICQ to answer any questions you may have. You will also
need to familiarise yourself with the
CoRE RoE which must
be followed at all times.
OU
may join the Guard with a new or an existing character - please
note that your existing character must follow our ruleset with regards
to having positive karma, a suitable name, not being of a typically
'evil' race and having permitted skills.
F you meet these criteria, address one of our officers in-game and
ask to be enlisted. After you have completed a trial, they will add you
to the LB stone. We encourage you to start writing your character history,
or a small introduction post on our
In-Character board
once you are in the guild.
